Wat Niwet Thamaprawat [Nattalin S.]

Niwet Thamaprawat Temple...
Niwet Thamaprawat Temple is a Thai-Temple which built in the reign of King Rama V. At the altar there is the Buddha image called Phra Naruemol Thammophas covering with gold, creating in western style by Prince Pradit Worakarn. The building resembles a gothic Christian church by using stained-glass windows and rose windows from English Gothic style. The windows are also in pointed arched shape and most of the elements in this temple are designed vertically even the pattern of the wall itself; it shows many vertical lines. Eventhough the outer of the temple looks like Gothic church style, the temple is stilled be a place for Buddhists to pray and meditate with no need of a path way to walk like aisles in Gothic church.
